Message [Brett]: Many companies were sure of their worth - and then the markets tumbled. Many people seek attention or awards or recognition or fame - and then they’re devastated when the applause fades or when somebody else receives the glory. Some of us see ourselves as unworthy. Others of us think we’re better than “those people” (whoever they might be). But our worth is God’s gift, and our calling is to see and treat others as worthy for the same reason we are worthy. If we seek a reward, may it be God’s affirmation of “Well done, good and faithful servant!” (Matt 25:21). And may we rejoice, each day, with all our brothers and sisters, that our names - and theirs - are written in heaven (Luke 10:20).
