Message [Brett]: Pentecost, a week of weeks after Passover, which coincides with the beginning of the barley harvest, was originally the celebration of the first fruits of the wheat harvest. Ruth’s story was (and still is) retold, because Ruth sought refuge under God’s wing - and under the corner of her redeemer’s cloak - and God blessed her richly, with even more than His finest wheat! God sets aside corners of His creation and corners of His kingdom for those who seek Him.
