Notes: God = Elohim, God who is justice. Lord = YHWH, God who is love and compassion. Elohim is an aspect of YHWH, just as justice is an aspect of love. It is YHWH (God is love) who frees His people via Exodus and via Easter.

Message [Brett]: How often we feel sifted and trampled! How often we disappoint even ourselves. But Christ and the Holy Spirit intercede for us. And our “God is love” is intent on creating finest wheat and best wine as He brings us through the narrowness (in Hebrew, “Egypt” means “narrowness”) of sin and suffering, into His limitless love.
