Message [Brett]: Our “Lenten locations” (places of change) include the wilderness, where God alone can feed us and teach us; the mountaintop, where we are in awe of God and hardly know how to proceed; our many temples, which may be earthly buildings, but which are more accurately Christ Himself and the dwelling places we create for Him in our hearts; dark places, where we hide (or try to hide) what is “not OK” and where we receive Christ’s invitation to come forth into the light; and the wide spaces, where we get a glimpse of God’s kingdom, a broad place where seeds burst forth and all God’s people rejoice and labels no longer apply (Gal 3:28).
